David is founder and design principal of Busch Associates. His dedication to the practice of architecture and commitment to client relationships guide the firm’s focus.  In the architecture and construction fields since 1981, David has an extensive knowledge of construction methods and materials, as well as “hands-on” experience in residential and commercial carpentry, and the unique craft of boat building.  His ability to actuate construction detailing, combined with his level of comfort in working with various materials, has afforded him distinguished project success as an architect.
He has been involved with project design and build-outs in competitive national markets ranging from New York and New Jersey to Los Angeles and Miami. From this broad experience he has gained greatly in the development and preparation of team leadership, organizational strategies, quality management procedures and project scheduling.   The success with projects on a local and national basis, have proven his innovative leadership and interpersonal communications skills, as repeat clients request the presence of Busch Associates on a far-reaching basis.
With a hand in the design of all projects, his responsibilities within the firm include business development, client overlap land purchase and lease negotiations, program development, feasibility and master planning, budgeting, bid and contract negotiations and scheduling.
David was raised on the water along the east end of Long Island, and worked as a commercial fisherman before traveling abroad in the study of architecture. He has strong abilities in drawing, sculpture, and large canvas mixed-medium paintings and teaches design as an adjunct professor at NYIT.  He enjoys the outdoors, sketching and the creation spirits.
His desire to collaborate with enthusiasts in the exploration of design theory, inevitably lead him to the establishment of the firm.
